I am Dr. David L. Harkins, an organizational development consultant and the founder of Human Works Group. After years of facilitating strategic planning processes for small nonprofits, I continued to see organizations doing critical community work without the strategic clarity their work deserved. I believe that strategic planning works best when it creates a responsive toolset that helps a nonprofit sustain itself in a dynamic marketplace.
